Youth Council

The Foundation’s Youth Council is made up of three high school seniors and three high school juniors. Members visit our community’s nonprofit organizations, learn from local leaders, and determine the recipients of our annual Youth Council grants.

Over $150,000 has been awarded by the Foundation’s Youth Council to youth-serving organizations in Watertown since its inception in 2001.

Current Youth Council members are:

Seniors: Josie Althoff, Isabella Horning, and Halle Olson

“Being a member of the Youth Council has been an unforgettable experience that has helped me learn more about area nonprofits, and gain a wider perspective and greater appreciation for my community.”

“I have met some pretty incredible community members during my time on the Youth Council. I also learned more about opportunities available for kids of all ages in our town. There are so many!”
