Chris Rieb: A Legacy on the Ice

Board members of the Watertown Hockey Association recently presented a $2,500 gift to the Christopher (Chris) Rieb Fund, held at the Watertown Area Community Foundation. Dr. Mark and Susan Rieb accepted the check on behalf of their son’s fund.

The funds were raised through the inaugural Chris Rieb Memorial Mites Tournament, which welcomed 24 teams to Watertown for a weekend that combined competition, community, and remembrance.

The tournament not only created a meaningful way to honor Chris but also brought families together around the sport he loved. Plans are already underway for the 2027 tournament, scheduled for January, as this event looks to become a lasting tradition in Watertown.
