Watertown’s Yard of the Month Back in Full Bloom

The watering cans are out—and they’re ready for your nominations!
One of Watertown’s favorite summer traditions is back in full bloom: Yard of the Month. Nominations are now open for the 2025 Yard of the Month Awards, a community-favorite contest that celebrates homeowners and businesses who go the extra mile to beautify their outdoor spaces and inspire others to do the same.
Each month this summer, one standout yard will be selected from each of Watertown’s five city wards, along with one business and one “Whimsical Yard” full of personality and charm. Winners will be announced at the end of June, July, and August.
How to Nominate a Yard: Complete a nomination form and drop it into one of the watering can drop boxes located at:
- County Fair Foods
- Curated
- Hy-Vee
- The Tree Farm
- Watertown Flowers
- Watertown Regional Library
New this year: Nominate online at bit.ly/WatertownYardoftheMonth. Property owners are welcome to nominate their own yard.
Winners Receive:
- A “Yard of the Month” sign to proudly display
- A certificate signed by the Mayor
- Neighborhood bragging rights
- Local stardom with recognition on the Watertown Area Community Foundation Facebook page and a shoutout on the radio!
